Card Positioning systems is having 5th anniversary Celbration They are having 15 sketches in 15 days and offering some awesome prizes. At first I thought there is no way I could do 15 cards. Usually I take hours designing each card. Then I decided to try this challenge. I am not good with clean and simple cards and usually just over embellish but I decided to give this a whirl and here is my first card. Another good thing is that I am using stamps that I have had forever and they haven't seen daylight in years. So this is the day 1 sketch.

I made this for my Grandpa who is in hospice. His birthday is this coming Friday Feb 3 I think I will just give it to him early maybe tomorrow so that he can enjoy it all week. It is made out of silk flowers.

At lily pad blog I decided to join their card chain challenge and one of the options was a bird theme so I hunted around and found this stamp which is actually part of a bigger stamp. I love the steam punk look. This stamp has been sitting in my stamp drawer and actually was on my wish list and then I found it. Colored with copics and distressed with chalk ink. The lettering is Tim Holtz once upon a time. I love that die cut. The paper is old called once upon a time I bought it a few years back. The gears are old watch parts. Thanks for looking.

So I got a lot of new toys all dealing with due cutting and put them to good use this morning. I cut my card shape with grand labels 1 and cur and embossed the spellbinders hearts. The flower is spiral blossom 1 and the word is Tim glitz once upon a time die cut. The image is digital by gingerloft. It is actually our 99 cent special at stitchy bear stamps www.stitchybearstamps.com/shop/ I distressed with silver ink and sprayed some glimmer must on the rose and some of the hearts. The image is clear embossed.

I got this Stampavie stamp last year towards the end of the Christmas season and didn't get to use it but YEAH I am using it now. Colored with copics. All of the decorative paper is by Basic Grey. I used the MS punch around the page snowflake. I also distressed all of the papers. The flowers are prima. If any of my secret sisters are looking at my blog I really need a poinsetta die cut of some kind. I could not get the lighting right in this photo. I need to start going outside. To me the card is prettier in person:) Thanks for looking and made for these challenges.

My newest digi that I drew at Gingerloft I meant for the wolf to either look Halloween or he can be used really as an any ocassion card depending on how he is colored. I printed the sentiment. I was so excited to find that a local scrapbooking store has started selling real rubber stamps not just stamps made for scrapbookers YIPPEE Here is a little LaLa Land Halloween girl I picked up. Well I had bronchitis for two weeks and just felt so tired I really didn't feel like doing much except make it through work and then veg on the couch. I am so glad to be feeling better. Did I tell you guys I am going to be an aunt. My little sis is pregnant with their first baby. I am so excited. So anyway here is a little card I made using my new die cuts that I got for Mom's day from whimsy stamps. The little tiger is by Karen's doodles. He was hard to color for me. Here is a digi stamp that I have been working on for the last couple of weeks. I just couldn't get it to come together until yesterday. It orignally had a windmill but that was replaced with the trees and the cloud. Ok So here is another round card. These are fast and easy to make so I got several done today. This digi is by Gingerloft I wasn't sure of the coloring of a sea turtle but I did my best and I really wasn't sure about coral but I think it works. OK I actually made a card without using copics. Yes can you believe it. It has finally happened. Did I hit my head last night. No I just was trying to find an image to use with my new embossing plate and this looked like it would work well. If you are looking for this butterfly/floral embossing plate sorry guys I MADE it:) Yes I made an embossing folder or plate whatever you want to call it out of a cereal box and MS punches. OK so you now have seen my whole set that I got from Our craft lounge. I really like this set first because the images are amazing but also the size is perfect for my creating. I have aquired alot of these images and have not been real good about putting them to good use as my digis are just so easy but I had some paper and ribbon that I wanted to use for the CASE study challenge and this image I thought would look good in the yellow and brown colors. I really like how this card turned out. I like the colors and I like how I distressed the copics on the boots. This is a digi stamp by Gingerloft I don't know who the paper is by. They are some left overs I had from last summer. I really like the denim color by adirondac {sp?) It is a fabulous blue and that is what is sponged on the image and sentiment. It has almost been two weeks since I posted my art. I hosted a shoebox swap last weekend and a bunco night and now Aly has strep so I have just been busy. Being home most of the day today with Aly I got a little bit of time to create. This stamp is a digi by Designed 2 Delight. The paper is an older paper pad called Pocket of Posies I think by DCWV. Oh the weather is beautiful here in Oklahoma. Tomorrow we will be in the 60's. Still tons of snow on the ground but the roads are clear. Another Bentley

Snowing again in Oklahoma. Just got done shoveling the driveway with Aly as my hubby went to work and then Aly sled down our front yard on a cardboard box. I guess we need a sled. Up until lately there was hardly an occasion for a sled but now it seems like we might need to buy a snowmobile. Anyway my card was made using a new Bentley stamp by Gingerloft Colored with copics and background with chalk ink. The paper is by Sassafrass lass. A 6 x 6 pad I bought last year in Colorado. Blizzard Art Card 2

Our 3rd day home from the blizzard no work or school. Hubby is stuck at home too so we have been enjoying each others company, watching tv, napping:) and talking about when we might be able to leave this snowy place. Blizzard Art card #1

My husbands car stuck at the bottom of our driveway

The view from our back door

It was a blizzard yesterday in the great state of OK and now our whole city is at a stand still we are all at home due to large snow drifts. The highways are covered with semi trucks and cars if they ever got that far stranded. My husbands car is stuck at the bottom of our drive way. I don't think they will get our neighborhood streets plowed so I see us being stuck here at least through the weekend. So I cleaned yesterday things I never get cleaned and organized and today I am doing some art and will do more cleaning later this afternoon. Oh and I gotta watch Ground Hog day since this is Ground Hog day. If you have netflix it is an instant download. If you haven't seen that movie sit down and watch it. Last snowman card of the season

This may be my last snowy/snowman card of the season. Who knows maybe not LOL Anyway I started making these cool flowers with fabric and Tim Holtz tattered flower die. I just picked up left over fabrics and HL and this blue was one of the colors so I made a blue card. The image is by Designed 2 Delight was a freebie last year. Colored with copics and all of the paper was diestressed. The extra flowers I will be sending out to stamping friends to use in their artwork. Thanks for looking

Happy New Year Gift Set

Happy New Year to all. I remember the cards I made for 2010 New Year. Now another year has gone by. Time flies doesn't it. The things I remember abput 2010... Our trip to Colorado, getting to see and pet a real reindeer (I gotta upload a photo of that), white water rafting (again Colorado), my daughter and sister and I visiting the Sephora store (we have so much fun there) and discovering glitter eyeliner, Aly and I visiting Silver Dollar city and her first ride on a real roller coaster. As we went up the hill she goes "Oh No!!) Anyway now onto 2011. This is a New Year card and party favor box made using the 2011 cupcake digi stamp by Gingerloft Colored with copics and added a touch of glitter with stickles. Isn't this little digi stamp by Stamp It Crazy just adorable. Aly really liked it alot as she loves fairies. I know a sassy lady at my work that will get this card. It fits her perfect. OK I am kind of partial to this card since I drew the image but I really like how it turned out. The image is available at Gingerloft The sentiment is by catslife press. I colored with copics and distressed with cats eye chalk ink. I embossed the background with an embossing folder and the icecicle is a MS border punch. This is a great stamp by Cowgirl up digi stamps. There is still time to join their blog hop (ends Saturday night) and then a new challenge will start on Sunday. I did this a little different today and used pastel colors which I hardly ever do. I do like how it turned out. I like this shimmery white ribbon for winter cards. Cowgirl Up Halloween Blog Hop

Happy Halloween everyone. Just one more week until the little spooks and gobblins come and visit. If you accidently found this post you need to begin at the beginning of the hop This week at Cowgirl up is a fab Halloween blog hop featuring all of the great Halloween releases by Cowgirl up Stamps. I have used the witch and horse stamp which is my favorite and was so glad to get to use it. My card is colored with copics and distressed with black ink and the Tim Holtz distress tool. The die cut swirls are also from Tim Holtz flourish die by Sizzix. I added purple stickles for the added bling. Go hop with us and here is the info.
