Midnight Challenge #8

Mojo Monday Challenge 94

This card made me almost go the stampers equivelent of Postal. I tried to stitch on my card with my Janome Mini and after about an hour of trying to get it threaded correctly I then realized I couldn't stitch straight and then the lightbulb in my art room blew out so I gave up on the stitching idea for now. I also had promised I would move away from green and orange but I started out with a bluish background but again green and orange have appeared. I have no idea why I am in the color mode. Stamps are by Stampin Up the only set I own. The flowers are some I got on sale at Michaels this weekend and the orangish rhinestones I got off the $1 area at Michaels. Sunday Sketch and Stamp #6

Yes I have become addicted to blog challenges. I admit it. This card I used one of my favorite stamp sets, the Hero Arts Asian dolls. I have really been in this earth tone mood this weekend. I guess I have all the papers out and it just works. Will try some different colors this coming week. My Dear Daughter's Best card Ever

Alyssa is ten and she made this card today while I was working on my card. She said it was her best card ever and that her hands hurt from cuttlebugging. I am so proud of her.

Another Friday Sketchers Meets Penny Black Challenge 56

I did this card as my first ever Penny black blog challenge #56 found here http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/. The theme was just red, white and blue. I was afraid that I didn't have any background papers or embellishments in these colors but I managed to dig up some things. The stamp is of course Penny Black and the little flowers are a cuttlebug die cut. I used a chalk ink (fresco) in light blue to make it look like clouds in the background. The sketch I used was from this weeks Friday Sketchers. I have another Friday sketchers from this week below (the owl) I hope you like this card.
