Happy New Year Gift Set

Happy New Year to all.  I remember the cards I made for 2010 New Year.  Now another year has gone by.  Time flies doesn't it.  The things I remember abput 2010...  Our trip to Colorado, getting to see and pet a real reindeer (I gotta upload a photo of that), white water rafting (again Colorado), my daughter and sister and I visiting the Sephora store (we have so much fun there) and discovering glitter eyeliner, Aly and I visiting Silver Dollar city and her first ride on a real roller coaster.  As we went up the hill she goes "Oh No!!)  Anyway now onto 2011.  This is a New Year card and party favor box made using the 2011 cupcake digi stamp by Gingerloft  Colored with copics and added a touch of glitter with stickles.  Thanks for looking and made for these challenges.

Blue Jay Post it note holder

I am so ready for fall.  I am really getting into nature stamps right now so I drew up this little blue jay on the corn.  I was afraid I wouldn't find the right paper to match because of the blue and the yellow/brown but I was happy with some paper I bought last year at Michaels in their recollection autumn pack.  This is an acrylic frame that I decorated the inside and then added the little post it note with red line tape.  That stuff sticks good.  Thanks for looking and the blue jay digi can be found here.  Made for the following challenges.

OWH Christmas card

I find it very hard to make these simple cards without much embellishments but so many challenges are up this week for the Operation Write Home that I thought I would give it a whirl.  For the OWH cards you can not use glitter and they prefer that your cards are not too bulky (which are what most of my cards are all about) but hey I need some practice because at Christmas there is no way I have time to make tons of extreme ornate cards.  Anyway the stamp is by Pink cat studio.  A set I got last year and used alot.  Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Sleepy Hollow

Happy Halloween.  I am really in the mood to m ake spooky cards this year.  I don't give out Halloween cards so not sure what I will do with them all but I really like how this one turned out.  This digi is by Gingerloft  I really wanted to distress the paper to make it look like a spooky night that this headless horseman was riding in and I think I achieved what I was trying to do.  The flower is a prima orange rose and I distressed with black ink.  Oh the background is webbing spray.  I haven't used that stuff in ages.  I hope you like this little spooky card.  Made for the following challenges

Lots of Poinsettias

I don't know that I really like this card...  I need to stick with what I know and stop going off into the unknown.  Another "vintage" looking card.  I do like the crackle technique.  This is new to me.  I do not think I got enough crackle as I want but I didn't have the ultra thick embossing just regular clear.  I did many layers and then stuck it in the fridge and then cracked it and got about 3 vertical cracks.  This stamp is OLD.  It is probobly one of the very first stamps I ever got about 11 years ago.  I distressed the edges and wish I would have distressed the first layer instead of punching it.  Probobly too many flowers.  OK enough of me talking about this card.  Made for the following challenges

I made this card for a man at a church who gave his testimony about stopping the smoking habit that he has had for 50 years.  I hope the bow and glitter brad doesn't make this card too GIRLY but I made this for a man.  The image is by Phindy's Place.  I am really into scenic stamps right now so if you know some cool digi scenes let me know.  The paper is by October afternoon from their fly a kite pad.  Thanks for looking and this card was made for these challenges.

A New Venture

Most of you don't know but several years ago I owned a very small stamp company.  I mostly sold on line and sold to a few brick and mortar stores across the US.  I work full time and running a business was just not possible so I closed shop 4 or 5 years ago.  Now I wonder if there is any interest in some of these designs as digis so I started a very small digi shop with a few images.  If there is a demand I'll add more.  There is a freebie there for you to pick up.  Let me know what you think.  The images are not "cute"  They are more realisitc than I see most digis.  Maybe there is interest if not that is OK but thought I would give it a try.  Go check out my new ity bity store  GingerLoft Hopefully I'll make a little bit of spending money for our upcoming trip.  Hugs to all.
