Happy New Year Two challenges

It is almost another year gone. As I think of 2009 and my most fond memories, I think of our family trip to Dallas to see the King Tut exhibit, our road trip down route 66 and our many adventurous trips up to Branson, MO and I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for us. I have made a few resolutions... Exercise daily, read the Bible all the way through and keep my art room clean. My sister is getting married in May of 2010 and we are planning a trip to Colorado at the end of July.

Now on to my card. This little guy was a freebie at The Greeting Farm. There has been much discussion in our home at what type of animal he is. My daughter says he is a hedgehog, my husband says it is a bear. I plain ole don't have an opinion on what he is. The sketch is by Inspirational card sketches http://icsketches.blogspot.com/ and the theme is celebrations over at Charisma cardz http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/ / I love this color combo. I guess I am having fun getting away from the Christmas and winter colors. Thanks for looking.

Details here... http://designed2delightdigishop.blogspot.com/ so I felt a bit rushed but am overall happy with the results. I knew I wanted to do something black and red... couldn't decide on the ribbon so used both. Another week and it will be not the time to make Christmas cards anymore. Whatever will I stamp then. I've been doing the holiday card thing since before Halloween and now its just about over but I guess Valentines is next. Well this month's challenge on the Alota Stamps PCP group was to make a Christmas card so you know I'm loving these easel cards and I'm sure you know I love gingerbreads so here is a combo. Get Sketchy #16 Free Digi from Aly

My beautiful and talented eleven year old daughter has her own challenge blog www.alyssundaychallenge.blogspot.com and she wanted to thank those that have supported it over the last few month's by offering a free digi.  She loves to draw so it was just natural to turn one of her drawings into a digi stamp.  The sketch I used is this weeks Get Sketchy Sketch  http://getsketchy.blogspot.com/ Colored with copics. I added this poinsetta that I found in the Christmas section of Hobby Lobby
this week. Thanks so much for looking.

Sweet sunday sketch 46 and A free Digi Stamp

This is my first entry into the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. I was looking for a sketch to use today using a circle and I found this one. The snowman stamp I got this weekend from a secret sis swap and is by Hampton arts. I used my glittery sprigs again that I got at Old time pottery (warning I have a whole bundle that will last for years so you will probobly see these alot:)) Now what about the free digi. Well I designed this nestie frame stamp to use with a scalloped circle nestabilitie. I used it as a snowflake frame but it could also be used as stars on the 4th of July. It will be available in red and black and they both will be free to anyone that participates in Aly's sketch this coming Sunday Dec 6th. There are more suprises so make sure to stay tuned and watch Aly's blog http://www.alyssundaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Oh and the sweet sunday sketch is here http://kgiron.blogspot.com/

Well I made this for Tuesday Morning sketches but then realized that I had printed a sketch from two weeks ago. So I can't enter it in the sketch challenge but it did inspire me for this ornament. I found this free digi stamp at Pixie Dust Studios and wanted to use it before the Halloween season is over. The trick or treat came in a $5 set I got at Michaels last year.
