Happy New Year Two challenges

It is almost another year gone. As I think of 2009 and my most fond memories, I think of our family trip to Dallas to see the King Tut exhibit, our road trip down route 66 and our many adventurous trips up to Branson, MO and I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for us. I have made a few resolutions... Exercise daily, read the Bible all the way through and keep my art room clean. My sister is getting married in May of 2010 and we are planning a trip to Colorado at the end of July.

Now on to my card. This little guy was a freebie at The Greeting Farm. There has been much discussion in our home at what type of animal he is. My daughter says he is a hedgehog, my husband says it is a bear. I plain ole don't have an opinion on what he is. The sketch is by Inspirational card sketches and the theme is celebrations over at Charisma cardz / I love this color combo. I guess I am having fun getting away from the Christmas and winter colors. Thanks for looking.

An Alota challenge and another easel card

Another week and it will be not the time to make Christmas cards anymore. Whatever will I stamp then. I've been doing the holiday card thing since before Halloween and now its just about over but I guess Valentines is next. Well this month's challenge on the Alota Stamps PCP group was to make a Christmas card so you know I'm loving these easel cards and I'm sure you know I love gingerbreads so here is a combo. I tried to color the cookies so their coloring looked like a cookie and the bow is some wierd creation I came up with and tied it together. Thanks for looking.

Get Sketchy #16 Free Digi from Aly

My beautiful and talented eleven year old daughter has her own challenge blog and she wanted to thank those that have supported it over the last few month's by offering a free digi.  She loves to draw so it was just natural to turn one of her drawings into a digi stamp.  The sketch I used is this weeks Get Sketchy Sketch Colored with copics. I added this poinsetta that I found in the Christmas section of Hobby Lobby
this week. Thanks so much for looking.

Sweet sunday sketch 46 and A free Digi Stamp

This is my first entry into the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. I was looking for a sketch to use today using a circle and I found this one. The snowman stamp I got this weekend from a secret sis swap and is by Hampton arts. I used my glittery sprigs again that I got at Old time pottery (warning I have a whole bundle that will last for years so you will probobly see these alot:)) Now what about the free digi. Well I designed this nestie frame stamp to use with a scalloped circle nestabilitie. I used it as a snowflake frame but it could also be used as stars on the 4th of July. It will be available in red and black and they both will be free to anyone that participates in Aly's sketch this coming Sunday Dec 6th. There are more suprises so make sure to stay tuned and watch Aly's blog Oh and the sweet sunday sketch is here

Tuesday Morning Sketch with a Spoon Full of Sugar

I love Gingerbreads and I won this digi stamp awhile back from Whimsie Doodles. It is really one of my favorites. Dietrich Challenge #12

I found this challenge that the kids draw a sketch challenge and since my daughter has her own challenge I really wanted to support this blog. This is my take on seven year old Jack's sketch. Christmas Ornament

Well turn your head to the side because blogger wants to rotate my images ut hopefully you get the idea

Well I made this for Tuesday Morning sketches but then realized that I had printed a sketch from two weeks ago. So I can't enter it in the sketch challenge but it did inspire me for this ornament. The base is a paper mache ornament from Hobby Lobby. I am really happy how this turned out and I think I'll make a few more for gifts.

Unscripted Sketches and Pixie Dust Studio 1st Challenge

This is another one of the freebie digis out there available from the Pixie Dust studio challenge site. Their challenge was to use this stamp and use some texture. I paper pieced the Santa suit. This is my entry for Aly's challenge #5 I used an old SU set that I got off Craigslist during the summer. I'm not sure that I really like the bow but this ribbon stuff was what was easily found that matched the theme so I went with it. Check out Aly's and hope you decide to play. I found this free digi stamp at Pixie Dust Studios and wanted to use it before the Halloween season is over. The trick or treat came in a $5 set I got at Michaels last year. After I got the card made I felt it was a little plain at the top of the card so I added swirls of purple stickles. This is my entry for this weeks ICS Sketch challenge. Thanks for looking.
