Lily Boo's DT Card Shaped Card

Card made for the following challenges
This month the challenge at Lily Boo's is to make a card.  I am not very creative when it comes to shaped cards and usually avoid those challenges but can't avoid this one.  I usually rely on my circle nesties and make a circle card but was kind of tired of that so I got out some nesties and decided to make an easel card.  After I got my card put together I wanted to add something at the top to look like confetti or those horn blowers so I added strips of paper and curled them.  The image is by Lily Boo's and the paper is basic grey June Bug.

Ok usually I save orange and black for October but I found a challenge this week that was burnt orange, black and cream so I went for it.  Of course this is a sweet pea stamp.  My blog is starting to look like I need to join their DT Hint Hint:)  One of my new techniques I am using is making my backgrounds with chalk.  It is so easy.  I also chalked the flower because it was originally pink.  Hugs to everyone in blog land.

Usually I match the coloring with my paper but I did these backwards. The horse digi is by In Style stamps and I really like their new line. The fairy of course is Sweet Pea Stamps. I kind of like dotting the background. The paper is by SEI Their two new lines. Thanks for looking. Oh and if you love digis like me check out my digi blog group on SCS
