I almost didn't post this card. I really thought at first it was too plain which is something I have had a problem with recently and now I think it has too much stuff and too busy but my daughter says she likes it so I'll go ahead and post. I want to do a set of asian cards using my new Inkadinkado set. The tiger is colored with prismacolors. The sentiment is by Stampendous. All other stamps are inkadinkado. The sketch challenge is almost hidden by all the stuff but I guess not all cards can be a Mona Lisa. This sketch challenge can be found here http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

Friday Sketchers 62 Entry
It is amazing how building a card works. I see a sketch and then pick out of my drawer what stamp I want to use and just build my card around the stamp. The original card looked plain to me I guess I like alot of stuff on my cards so I added the flowers and leaf punch. I got this leaf punch 5 or 6 years ago and this is my first time using it. I really like it. The asian girl is a new stamp that I got at Michaels by Inkadinkado. It came in a clear stamp set. Colored with copics which I love. This challenge can be found here. http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/

Mojo Monday Challenge 97
Well I didn't have a photo corner punch so I almost skipped this challenge but then I found a corner thickle and I was like OK I can do this. Well after I added the thickle I thought it looked plain so guess what I just had to add a bow. All of this ribbon I bought at big lots for $1 a roll. The little girl is by basicgrey and reminds me of the coraline movie (remember button eyes) and the sentiment is by SU from the cheep talk set. Colored with copics. Thanks for looking and this blog challenge can be found here. http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/
Sketch Saturday #61
I love Penny Black stamps and my July SS on Splitcoast sent me this great kitty image. I really didn't have a sentiment to fit so I added a bow. Colored with copics. Thanks for looking. This challenge can be found here http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/
Midnight Madness Challenge 12
I haven't made a tag in years. I remember ten years ago or so they were all the rage. We did all kinds of tag swaps etc. I don't ever know if I put a tag on a card or not but today I did. This stamp is one of the first stamps I ever purchased. Probobly ten years ago or so. My daughter had pulled it out to stamp last night and it was out so I picked it up. It is by Stampa Rosa. This card is a little plain but I hope you enjoy it. This challenge can be found here. http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/

Sweet Dreamers first challenge
On SCS we just started a new blog group and this was our first challenge. We were to make a card that represented our favorite color and what we like to do besides stamping. My favorite color is purple but not necessarly my fav color to make cards but I still went with it and my favorite past time is spending time with my ten year old daughter. She picked the stamp that she wanted to represent her. The background was made with cordinations paper and sand paper ran through a cuttlebug embossing folder. I have got to learn how to make bows because this bow if handled is going to fall apart. The stamp is by Stampland and colored with copics.

Penny Black Challenge 59
This weeks penny black challenge was a recipe. Three ribbons, 2 flowers and a charm. I can honestly say I have never used a charm in my artwork. I happened to have a little jar of charms that I got in some sort of swap many years ago. I really had no clue how to attatch it to my card so I used a little sliver of paper The charm says laugh. I am trying to add bows to my art today. I am happy with how it turned out. I colored the image with copics. This challenge can be found here. http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Thanks for looking.

Penny Black Challenge 58 Soft and Sweet
Well I usually get this challenge done on Saturday but I didn't this week but maybe I will have better luck with the random drawing:) The challenge this week was soft and sweet. I used copics to color and fresco inks for the background colors. The sketch I actually got from this weeks sweet sketch Wed which can be found here http://www.sweetsketchwednesday.blogspot.com/ but this is not my entry for that blog challenge as it is a color challenge also. I will work on my entry for that challenge tomorrow. I think I may use this card for my Mom's birthday on Aug 5. The penny black challenge can be found here http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/ Thanks for looking.

Sunday Sketch and Stamp #7
I can't describe how long it took me to make this card. I could not figure out what image I wanted to use and what colors. I just knew I wanted a gingerbread theme. I stamped over and over and tried different colors etc. The background paper etc was easy it was just the main image. Then I had to figure out a quote. It was difficult but I was determined to get a challenge done this evening. I am happy with the results. The gingerbreads are by Martha Stewart and were a gift from a Secret Sis on splitcoast. Thanks for looking and this challenge can be found here http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/

Inspirational card sketches #26
Well I looked at this weeks ISC challenge and thought I can't do that but my daughter who is ten said sure you can. So as I was headed to Walgreens I had an idea for a card. I love Egyptian stuff so this is the theme I chose and used all of my well loved Egypian stamps that don't get much use anymore. I plan on giving this card to my stamping friend Cathryn as she also loves Egypt stuff. Many stamps are used in this card so if you need to know a specific manufactuer just ask. Thanks for looking and this challenge can be found here http://icsketches.blogspot.com/

Inspirational card sketches #25
I was kind of lost on what to do with this card sketch because I didn't have any swirls for the side but then I found some thickers at Big Lots and Yeah I had a card sketch entry. These are chipboard stickers. The stamp set is by Impression obsession. It is a clear penguin stamp set. I have really got alot of use out of this set. There is another set with penguins with surf boards but I have yet to find that set. Penguin is colored with copics. Nestabilities labels 4 and scallopped circles are used. Thanks for looking and this challenge can be found here http://icsketches.blogspot.com/

Sketch Saturday #59
I think this is my first entry to this blog challenge but I could be wrong. One of my SS got me this Riley and Riley copic marker set so I had fun playing with these and am learning how to shade. Wish there was a class near me but of course I live in the middle of No one Stampsville. The Riley Stamp of course is by Hanna Stamps and the sentiment is a Studio G. Thanks for looking and this challenge can be found here. http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/

This is probobly a little different theme than most but I'm trying to use all my stamps that I have never used or haven't used and once I pick my stamps then I build the card from there. This card sketch was really fun to work with. This challenge can be found here. http://icsketches.blogspot.com/ All stamps are by Inkadinkado. Thanks for looking.

Midnight Madness Challenge 9
I am really starting to like the sketch challenges at Midnight madness found here
http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/ This is my entry for #9 sketch challenge. The ribbons on the side inimidated me at first but I figured out how to make it work. I put the sentiment on top instead of bottom as the sketch was drawn. It just seemed to work better on my card. The images are by Inkadinkado. The sketch challenge blog is also having a blog candy give away for a BIG SHOT and a matching bag. This blog candy challenge can be found here. http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2009/07/this-blog-candy-post-will-stay-at-top.html

Mojo Monday Challenge 94
This card made me almost go the stampers equivelent of Postal. I tried to stitch on my card with my Janome Mini and after about an hour of trying to get it threaded correctly I then realized I couldn't stitch straight and then the lightbulb in my art room blew out so I gave up on the stitching idea for now. I also had promised I would move away from green and orange but I started out with a bluish background but again green and orange have appeared. I have no idea why I am in the color mode. Stamps are by Stampin Up the only set I own. The flowers are some I got on sale at Michaels this weekend and the orangish rhinestones I got off the $1 area at Michaels. This stamp set came from my Splitcoast SS Kchase. Thanks for looking and the Monday mojo challenge can be found here. http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

Sunday Sketch and Stamp #6
Yes I have become addicted to blog challenges. I admit it. This card I used one of my favorite stamp sets, the Hero Arts Asian dolls. I have really been in this earth tone mood this weekend. I guess I have all the papers out and it just works. Will try some different colors this coming week. This blog challenge can be found here. http://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/2009/07/challenge-6-barbs-sketch.html
My Dear Daughter's Best card Ever
Week 93 MOJO Mondays
Another Friday Sketchers Meets Penny Black Challenge 56
I did this card as my first ever Penny black blog challenge #56 found here http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/. The theme was just red, white and blue. I was afraid that I didn't have any background papers or embellishments in these colors but I managed to dig up some things. The stamp is of course Penny Black and the little flowers are a cuttlebug die cut. I used a chalk ink (fresco) in light blue to make it look like clouds in the background. The sketch I used was from this weeks Friday Sketchers. I have another Friday sketchers from this week below (the owl) I hope you like this card. Friday sketchers can be found here. http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/

OK So sketches really help me with my card making. I decided to enter this week's Friday's sketchers and it is my first time. This card I wanted an earthy feel. I LOVE owls. This owl is from Inkadinkado. It came in a clear set. The owl punch is from Martha stewart and I got it from one of my Secret sisters on Splitcoast stampers.I thought about adding color to my owl but I decided I liked him plain. I hope you enjoy my little owl card. The Friday sketchers website can be found here http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/
